This "U" Bracket measures 1-3/4" long X 1" wide X 7/8" tall, open on one end and 3/8" female threads on the other end. The hole that the pin goes thru is 5/16" dia. The slot opening on one side is 3/16" tall x 3/4" long. The slot opening on the other side is 3/16" tall x 3/8" long.

This is a REPLACEMENT PART it can not be added to foot rest unless there is a nut on the bottom of the foot rest that this can screw into.
Why will you need this part ?
If the one on you chair is missing or it has wore out and/or bent.
Will this fit my chair ?
The best way to check is to take your old one to a hardware store and check the bolt Diameter and Thread. If it is 3/8" Diameter and Thread cound of 16, (usually shown as (3/8-16)) then this will screw into your footrest. Next is measure the length and base see if it is 1-1/2" long and the Diameter base is 1-3/8" Diameter (this is not quite as important as the bolt size and thread count).
